P5 Maths 2: Order of Operation

STEP 1: 

Do all Multiplication and/or Division from left to right

STEP 2: 

Do all Addition and/or Subtraction from left to right

9-3+2

Do in order of sequence:

Step1: 9-3 = 6

Step2: 6+2 = 8

18 / 3 x 2

Do in order of sequence:

Step1: 18 / 3 = 6

Step2: 6 x 2 = 12

3 + 4 x 5

Order of Operation says to do "x" or "/" first, then do "+" or "-" according to Left to Right sequence:

Step1: 4 x 5 = 20

Step2: 3 + 20 = 23
